DUNEDIN RELIEF WORK.
WHARE FLAT ROAD SJCH.EME. GOVERNMENT AND COUNCIL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. The Government has made an offer to the Dunedin City Council to put in hand work costing £10,400 on the Whare Flat Road for the relief of unemployment. The offer ia conditional on the council paying annual maintenance up to £200 a year and the Taieri County Council paying up to £50. The local bodies have agreed to the conditions, with the result that the work will be started at an early date.
