FULL FEATHER IMPROVING. . The Winter Cup c.vuiidate Full Feather is reported to be doing excellent work at Riccarton and is expected-to run prominently in that race next week. Last season Full Feather was successful on five occasions, showing up particularly well in mile contests.. His best effort was recorded in.the Jockey Club Handicap at Riccarton last November, in which event he was credited with running a mile in 1.37. 4-5. On the same course in February he won the Post Handicap, one mile, in 1.3!) 4-5 with 9.8 on his back, and at Trentham the month following he defeated a good class field in the Hutt Handicap, one mile, in 1.39J, carrying 9.1. His last success was in the Winter Handicap, one mile, at the Dunedin winter meeting, in which event he carried 9.13. These performances.clearly indicate that Full Feather is a brilliant galloper over eight furlongs and is likely to be a tough proposition in .the,-Winter Cup. I
