British Flyers in Round-Europe Race.

RUGBY, July 23,
Mr. Alan Butler to-day continued to hold the lead in. the round-Europe -air contest. He was first to reach Seville this morning, making the journey from Madrid in a little over two hours. Later he passed over Madrid on the return flight, proceeding onward in his Gipsy Moth to Saragossa and Barcelona. Mr. Thorn, another British competitor, has been following him closely. After Barcelona the route lies via Lyons, Berne, Munich, Vienna, and Breslau to Konigsberg, and then to Berlin as the finishing point. 1 The mechanic of a German aeroplane piloted by • von Certzen in the flight round Europe was killed yesterday. He was climbing out of the aeroplane to rush to the control-shed at ' Heston when he was struck by the propeller.
