MISS E. EVANS.
The death occurred early .011 the morning of July 20, of Miss Eliza Evans, of Great South Road, Papakura. She was born in Staffordshire in 1861,. being the eldest daughter, of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Evans. She came to Melbourne with her parents in September, 1882, by the ship Surata. Her father bought a farm at Papakura. The late Miss Evans was a life-long member of the Papakura Methodist Church, holding the office of Sacramental steward. Two sisters and a brother predeceased her. A brother is Mr. S. Evans, of Papakura, and there arc five nephews and six nieces. The funeral took place this afternoon at the conclusion of a short service in the Methodist Church, Rev. J. F. Martin officiating.
