The Hon. A. J. Murdoch, Minister of Agriculture, arrived in Auckland by the Limited this morning.

Mr. Kenneth C. Aekins, formerly judge's associate, was yesterday admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court, on the motion of Mr. T. E. Henry.

Mr. A. Harris, M.P. for Waitemata. will leave, for the Soutli Island by the Limited this evening. He will return to, Auckland before the opening -of the session.
Mr. A. E. Alison, manager of the Devonport Steam Ferry Co., left by the Niagara yesterday on a trip to England, accompanied 'by Mrs. Alison and their two daughters.
Mr. W. L. Ward, manager of the Auckland branch of the Bank of Australasia, who has been on a business trip to Australia, returned by. the Maungamti from Sydney yesterday.
Mr. E. J. Riches, a New Zealand member , of the British secretariat at the League of Nations, Geneva, left by the Niagara yesterday for Europe, on the conclusion of three months' leave in New Zealand.
Mr. P. S. de Q. Cabot, of Otago University, who has been awarded a Carnegie research scholarship, left by the Niagara yesterday to take up his duties at Columbia Universitv, NewYork.
