SHUNTING MISHAP.
TRAIN CARRIAGE SMASHED. COLLISION WITH ENGINE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. As the result of a shunting accident in the Lambton station yard at 6.15 this morning a length of 12ft of the side of a composite first and secondclass carriage was torn out. An empty train of carriages was being taken out of the yard when, at the split points, two carriages were derailed, one striking an engine which was standing adjacent to the line. Nobody was injured.
