WHANGAREI NOTES.

Mrs. Brabazon has returned from a visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Boswell are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. Ford, Kensington Avenue. Miss Alma MacKay spent the Easter holidays in Auckland and Te Aroha. Mrs. E. H. Simmons and her two daughters are the guests of Mrs. Cooper, Mount Eden, Auckland. Mrs. Hosking is visiting friends at Thames. Mrs. T. E. Wilson, Wanganui, is the guest of Mrs. J. Peat, Kamo. Mrs. E. Bailey, Otahuhu, is visiting the North as the guest of Mrs. Bay, Central Avenue, and Mrs. May, Biponui. Mr. and Mrs. F. Crosby haye returned from a short visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. 0. Vial, of Dunedin, are the guests of Mrs. Somerville, Cross Street. Mrs. Bannister and her daughters have returned from a visit to her mother, Mrs. Dane, Bemuera. Mrs. Eric Peck, of Auckland, is visiting her sister, Mrs. A. E. McMahon, Third Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Wilson, accompanied by Miss Betty Wilson and Miss Vera Campbell, have returned home from a motor tour which included New Plymouth, Botorua, Whakatane and Tauranga. Mrs. Griffin has returned to Kamo after spending a holiday in the Waikato with her mother. Mrs. O'Carroll, of Thames, and Mrs. Fred Smith, of Hamilton, are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Child, Poto Avenue. Miss Fox is visiting Mrs. Lindesay, Oranga Boad. Mrs. McDonald, who visited Thames for the High School jubilee reunion, has returned to Whangarei. Miss Maisie Somerville visited .Donelly's Crossing during Easter and judged the Highland dancing at the local sports.

The San Toy School of Dancing held a dance on Wednesday evening in the Royal Oak Hall, when a large number of members and friends were present JSTovelty dances were a striking feature of the evening's entertainment. Dick, gold lame, bouffant skirt; Miss Wallace, black velvet, applique iiowers in orange; Miss M. Leech, rose georgette; Misa Tyne, shot taffeta; Miss Lucille Payne, scarlet net; Miss A. Robinson, delphinium blue; Miss Larking, green ring velvet and lace; Miss Langton, saxe blue crepe de chine; Miss Partridge, apricot georgette; Miss E. Doda, bottle sreen velvet, with lace.
