MRS. M. BRINKLEY.
On Anzac Day a very old resident of Te Aroha passed away in the person of Mrs. Mary Matilda Brinkley, widow of the late Mr. Thomas Brinkley, a wellknown farmer of the district. Mrs. Brinkley, with her husband, arrived from London 60 years ago in the chip Countess of Kintorn. She leaves a grown-up family of three daughters and two sons, and had 15 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. The three daughters are Mrs. R. W. Wilson, of Auckland; Mrs. D. G. Miller, of Te Aroha; and Mrs. J. Berriman, of Grafton Road, Auckland. The sons are: Mr. W. T. Brinkley, of Tauranga, and Mr. W. A. Brinkley, of Thames.
