MISS EDITH J. MAXWELL.
The death occurred on Wednesday at her home, Tauranga, of Miss Edith Jane Maxwell, and she was buried in the old Military Cemetery in a grave adjoining the late Archdeacon Brown and her mother. The deceased was born at Kilmore, Victoria, and came to New Zealand with her mother in 1566 after the death of her father, the late Rev. Maxwell. Miss Maxwell arrived in Tauranga with her mother in 18S7, and took up her residence in the "Elms," where she continued to reside up to the time of her death. Her mother was a sister of the late Archdeacon Brown.
