BADLY BURNED.
ESCAPE FROM NELSON HOTEL MAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) "NELSON, this day. The Belgrove Hotel, owned by Mr. J. Bower? and occupied by Mr. J. B. McDonald, a 15-roomed, two-storey wooden building, was totally destroyed by fire soon after midnight last night. Nine occupants escaped in their night attire, and one. John Galvin, was so badly burned that he is now- in hospital in a critical condition. The insurance on the contents i? £650 in the South British Office, and that on the building £2500 in the Queensland Office.
