RAN AGROUND.
CARGO STEAMER ALEXANDER. ASHORE IN FRENCH PASS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, this day. The Anchor Company's small cargo steamer Alexander ran aground in French Pass at 2.30 this morning in thick -weather. As far as is known the vessel is not damaged. The Matangi has been dispatched to tow the Alexander off.
