WAIKATO NOTES.
On Saturday evening at the Lyceum Club a farewell bridge party was given for Mrs. A. Joll, by the members of the .1928 and 1929 golf committees. Bridge was played in the circles room, which was decorated with autumn tinted zinnias and asters. During supper Mrs. Mears, president, spoke of the help Mrs. Joll had been to the golf club, and presented her with a handsome crystal dish, with good wishes for her future home at Putaruru. Those present included: Mrs. Mears, Mrs. A. Joll, Mrs. D. Hay, Mrs. H. T. Gillies, Mrs. F. York, Mrs. G. Primrose, Mrs. W. M. Horton, Mrs. E. M. Masters, Mrs. P. R. Stewart, Mrs. A. J. Bond, Mrs., P.'G. Russell, Mrs. O. R. Farrer, Mrs. H. C. Ross, Mrs. A. Budd, Miss Wilkinson, and Miss Stevens. • Mrs. Robbing who has been the guest of her' daughter, Mrs. T. G. Reynolds, Claudelands, has returned to her Ifome in Tauranga. Mrs. S. McLernon, of Napier, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. H. T. Gillies, Claudelands. Mrs. Armstrong, of Cambridge, is away on a visit to relatives in Bulk. Mrs. Hoffman, of Dunedin, is the guest of Mrs. M- M. Hockin, Hamilton. Mrs. G. Low, of New Plymouth, has been staying in Hamilton. Mrs. J. Williams has returned to Claudelands from a visit to Tauranga. . Mrs. Norman Ratcliffe has left Hamilton'on, a visit to England,- and will be . absent from New Zealand for several months. Mrs.. L. Pole, of Morrinsville, is spending. a holiday in Gisborne. Mrs. E. J. Carthew, of New Plymouth,Js the guest of her daughter, Mrs. G. S. Crimp, Hamilton, Miss Ho'ddinott, of -Dunedin, was in Hamilton during the week. Miss A. Cormish, of Morrinsville, is away on a holiday visit to Wellington. Mrs. R. B. Butler, of Wellington, has been staying in Hamilton. Mrs. G. Kennedy, of Scotland, who has been the guest of Mrs. Douglas, "Lindisfarne" Hamilton, has gone on to Rotorua. Mrs. F. Gordon, of Claudelands, is on a visit to relatives in Auckland. Miss Gwynneth has returned to Cambridge after spending a "holiday in Tauranga and Opotiki. Mrs. C. Finlayson, of Whangarei, has been the guest of Mrs. T. Ranstead, at Matangi. Miss E. Letemplier, of Cornwall, who has been staying with Mrs. Douglas, "Lindisfarne," Hamilton, is now visiting Taupo and Rotorua. Mrs. R. Nelson, of Whangarei, has been staying in Hamilton with Mrs. J. McNicol, Claudelands. Miss A. Ahier, of New Plymouth, has been staying in Tauranga. Miss Meilkle, "Of Papatoetoe, is the guest of Mrs. J. F. Strang, Claudelands. Miss G. Lee, of Takapuna, has been the guest of Mrs. F. H. Clapham, Hamilton. Visitors' to Te Aroha for the polo tournament include Mrs. Upton and Miss E. Upton (Whangaroa), Mrs. S. Pilkington (Cambridge), Mrs. V. Chitty and Miss C. Chitty (Hamilton), Mrs. R. Nelson (Whangarei), Miss A. Brown (Cambridge), Mrs. C. Finlayson (Whangarei), Miss Blythe, of Wanganui, has been staying with friends in Cambridge. Mrs. Millerchen, of Napier, is staying in Morrinsville with relatives. Mrs. F. N. Brewer, of Te Awamutu, ..is leaving shortly for Christchurch. Mrs. J. E. Herbert, of Thames coast, has recently left on a visit to England ;
