WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

SWEET—FARNDON.

St. Alban's Church, was chosen for the wedding last evening of Florence Adeline, eldest daughter of Mrs. L. Farndon, of Burnley Terrace, Mount Eden, and Rudolph, only son of Mr. P. Sweet, of Beresford Street. The Rev. Mr. Greenwood officiated. The bride was given away by Mr. R. Irvine, and wore a dainty frock of ivory georgette. The skirt was in three uneven tiers, dipping to the ankles at the back, silver lace being inset as a panel on the front of the skirt and yoke of same on the bodice. A spray of orange blossom and lily of the valley was worn on one shoulder. The embroidered billowy tulle veil formed the train, and was caught round the head with a strand and ear clusters of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of white blooms. Miss June Farndon, sister of the bride, was in attendance, and her frock was of powder blue georgette, pointed skirt draperies, and spray of flowers worked in multi-toned silks. The tulle headdress and shower bouquet toned with the gown. A little flower girl (bride's sister), Amelia Farndon, was in apple green and rose pink taffetas, tulle bandeau with rosebuds, and carried a silver basket of pink roses.. ; Mr. Louis Farndon was the best man. The wedding supper was served at the residence of the.bride's aunt, Mrs. Lange, Burnley Terrace, the house having yellow and white floral decorations,. . and large white wedding bell in the ; dining room. The bride's mother wore a black silk rep frock, small black hat with floral medallion. Mrs. Lange wore a black crepe de chine accordion pleated skirt and Oriental embroidered bodice, black Bangkok hat.

EDLINGTON—MITCHELL. .The wedding was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Franklin Eoad, last Wednesday evening, of Ettie, daughter of Mr. David Mitchell, of John Street, Ponsonby, and Mr. Arthur Edlington, of Ponsonby. The officiating minister was the Rev. N. P. Larsen. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of ivory georgette over satiii, and an embroidered veil kept in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful bouquet of white carnations, asters and roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Annie Bradshaw, looked charming in powdered blue georgette, matched with a crinoline picture hat, and she carried a lovely bouquet to .tone. Misses Mavis and Thelma Bradshaw, the two little flower girls, wore pink crepe de chine frocks, and carried baskets of pink and white flowers. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Mr. Eric Nairn. After the ceremony a reception was held at AJ] Saints' Hall, Ponsonby Boad. Mrs. Bradshaw, the hostess, received the guests in a navy blue georgette frock and hat to match, and racried a bouquet of scarlet flowers. Mrs, Edlington, mother of the bridegroom, wore a charming frock of floral crepe de chine and carried a bouquet of mixed flowers.
