Mi-. J. O. L. Hewett. S:M.', chairfttan of the Bailway Appeal Board, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, was a passenger from the South Limited this morning. Mr. A. Harris, M.P. for Waitemata, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. • Mr. Brvce Hart, barrister and solicitor, of Auckland, returned this morning by the Limited. Mr. and Mrs. J. Stewart (Hamilton), Mr. M. Pond (Napier)" are at the Central Hotel. Mr. W. G. Melndoe, of Auckland, is a guest at "The Hermitage," Mount Cook.
Professor E. F. Worley, of the Auckland University College, arrived in Wellington yesterday from the North.
Mr. F. E. Baume, city editor, of the "Daily Guardian," Sydney, is in Auckland at the Grand Hotel.
Eight Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, was in Auckland yesterday after being present at meetings in provincial towns. He will spend the weekend in Dargaville, and will return to Auckland on Monday.
Rev. F. Buckley, of Auckland, will leave next Friday for Italy. He hopes to be present at the Eucharistic Conference at Carthage. 4
