PAPATCETOE GALA.

NEW ROTUNDA AND PARK. OFFICIAL OPENING.

The official opening of a children's park at the rear of the Papatoetoe Town Hall, and also a new band rotunda built on the area will take place on Saturdav afternoon. Mr. A. W. Hall, M.P. for Hauraki. and Mr. W. Brown, president of the band, will perform the respective ceremonies.

In connection with the functions a district gala day has been arranged, including a floral fete, baby show anrl novelty sports. The initial event will be a series of competitions in floral decorations and personal fancy make-up, on the Shirley Road reserve, to be followed by a procession of all competitors, headed by the Papatoetoe Band, to the park. The proceeds will be in aid of a fund to provide swings and other equipment.
