LOCAL BODIES.
ONE TREE HILL. The One Tree Hill Road Board met last evening, the chairman, Mr. J. S. Hardwicke, presiding. Buildings.—During the fortnight the building inspector reported permits issued represented a total vaJue of £483. The report stated that 6ince the beginning of the year, 230 permife had been issued, and the' total value of the work was £93,504. Drainage.—The foreman reported that the cost of draining Williamson Street of storm water would be £130. The matter was deferred to next meeting. Dog Tax.—The dog tax for 1930 was fixed at 2/6 for dogs kept eolely for herding eheep and cattle, and 7/6 for all others.
