TRAMWAYMEN'S WAGES.

I May I reply to "E.A.G." re the grumble of "Conductor" and his £5 5/ wages? He asks if "Conductor" realises his work is simple and was done by women in the Old the war. Yes, we do know that was so. We also know that women did a lot of "skilled engineer's" work, too. I' do not know what standard "E.A.G." was in when he leit school, but I would like him to explain how fortyeight hours at 1/11 makes £5 5/. I make it £4 12/, He also states a "skilled engineer, after serving years of his life, gets '£4 19/> but he only works forty-four hours. All I can say is if a "skilled engineer," after serving years of his life, can only get £4 19/ he cannot be so very skilled, Of course, engineers expect more wages for working extra time; so does even a tram conductor. TRAM EMPLOYEE.
