BUILDING RETURNS.
FIGURES FOR MONTH.
DECREASE SHOWN.
Building returns for the month ending to-day show 236 permits have been issued representing a value of £81,719. This is much smaller than the value of building permits in the same month of last year, which totalled £453,818. This amount was made up largely of one item of £328,000. for the new railway station. The total for last month (September) was £131,072.
