ALBION V. WAIUKU.

A most enjoyable match was played at Waiuku on Labour Day between the Albion (Suburban. Association) and Waiuku dubs, the latter being short of several of its best players. The city men, batting first, compiled 240 runs in two hours and a half, in a bright exhibition, there being no less than nine sixes hit off the country team's bowling. Gedye, who bore a charmed life, was top scorer for the city team, with 74, scored in 30 minutes, including five sixes. Waiuku responded with 155, Sampson topscoring with a splendidly compiled 55.
