GREEN LANE V. HELENSVLLE.
The. Green Lane Suburban Association team journeyed to Helensville on Labour Day and were most hospitably treated by the country club. The Green Lane team was captained 'by J. Elliott, who won the toss and sent Helensville in to 'bat on a matting wicket. The Green Laners won on the first innings by 48 runs. Scores: —
Helensville —First innings. 46 (Spence 13, H. Burridge 12). Bowling: Kerr took four wickets for 14, Warner four for 17, Hewitt two for S.
Green Lane —First innings. 94 (.T. Elliott 21, T. Warner 32, F. Clark 11). Bowling: Johnston took two wickets for 26, and Harper four for 8.
Helensville have some promising colts, two of whom were coached 'by Bowley.
