At a church* social in a suburban district recently a farmer was called on to make a speech. A minister, a doctor,, and a teacher had preceded him. The fanner commenced his oration thus: "Ye hae heard the meenister, his heid;s fa» o' theology: the teacher, his heads fu o' learnin , ; and the doctor, his heid:3 fu" a' medicine. Tou're now gan tae listen tae an aul farmer, an' his heide iu' o' beastiee."
