FARMERS AND ARBITRATION.
"LET WELL ALONE."

Mr. Poison (Stratford) mentioned in the House of Representatives to-day that he had questioned the Prime Minister on September 30 to ascertain whether the Government intends this session to legislate 011 the subject of relieving the farming industry of the provisions of the Arbitration Act. He had been promised a reply, but had not received it, and would be glad to know the position."Is that urgent," asked Mr. P. Fraser (Wellington Central), with simulated astonishment, and he was assured that the matter was urgent. The Hon. T. M. Wilford undertook to consult the Prime Minister during the day and give an answer as soon as possible. N . "Wise to let it alone," commented Mr. Sullivan (Avon).
