ACCIDENT ON WHALER.
SEVEN SEAMEN INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Seven men were injured in an accident on board the whaling factory ship C. A. Larsen, on the day after the ship left San Pedro, California, for Wellington. A scaffolding on which the seven men were working collapsed and they fell 24ft into an empty oil tank. Three of the men were so seriously injured that it was decided to take them back to San Pedro. Another man suffered a broken leg, but remained on board, and is making good progress. The ether three were considerably bruised and shaken, but were also able to continue on the voyage. On the return of the C. A. Larsen to San Pedro the three severely injured men were transferred -to a hospital in I Los Angeles.
