MOUNT EDEB CLUB.

The report of the Mount Eden Swimming Club, to be presented at the eleventh annual meeting to-morrow evening, shows the club to be in a satisfactory position. The present number of declared members on the roll is IS6, which is made up as follows: Senior men 50, ladies 50, junior boys 86. In addition there are 25 associate members, making a total of 211, as against 190 of last season. Three carnivals were held during the season. Although the seconil carnival was the only one to show a financial return thoy were successful in every other way Members of the club competed at every carnival arranged by the sister clubs, and were very successful in many of the events The winners of club trophies were as follow: Mount Eden Ladies' Cup, 50yds Miss R. Brewer; Mount Eden Ladies Cup club championship, 50y.ds, ,Miss D. Plank ; Fraser Csp,.; junior ftandicap/'iOOyds, A. \Vicks;. :Weston 220 yds A. Keane; Cucksej 1 Cup Handicap, 440 yds, D. Plank ; diving championship, Heretatinga Cup, C. Xhe following schools gained certificates under the supervision of the Mt. Eden Club committee: Kowhai 52, Mt. Eden 82„ Maungawhattl3l, Normal.B9, while various cer-tificates-were issuedvto pupils of the St. Cuthbert's .College," Auckland Girls' Grammar, Mount Eden Grammar, Brixton Road, £2? Grafton Schools, making a 'total of 3<2 certificates for the season. Members competing at the Auckland championships were successful in several of the events, while others filled minor placings. Webster won the 50 yards junior girls'-breaststroke championship, putting ,up a freslx salt water record for New. Zealand. The following members were selected from the club' in the Auckland champion- 1 ship team to compete, at the New, Zealand championships at Wellington: K. De Loree, U- Plank, Misses E. Champion, S. Grange and J. Webster. Miss S. Grange was sucsuccessful in winning the 50 yards New Zealand junior championship, and was second in the 100 yards junior championship, i i B . Plank competed in the flying squadron team, which was second to Wellington. The club's relay teams were successful in winning the 500 yards flying squadron race for the Tui Memorial Cup, and the Mount Eden Residents' Cup of 333J yards, ■ine Auckland Centre water polo champion-'-srnp was also annexed by'the club tpam' after a series of hard games with other teams, in which all the games, including a special challenge game with the Ponsonby Club's team, were won.
