ALLEGED MOTOR FRAUDS.
THE BISHARA CASE. FOURTEEN CHARGES PREFERRED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, this day. Before justices this morning John Martin Bishara, garage proprietor, and Geoffrey Alva Trayburn, general manager of the firm of Bishara Bros., appeared to answer, jointly, 14 charges of theft of motor vehicles and one of fraud. One charge of theft and one of false pretences were also preferred against Trayburn. Detective Welsh prosecuted. Mr. A. E. Sexton represented Trayburn and Mr. J. A. Gordon appeared on behalf of Bishara. The charge of theft of an Oldsmobile car against Bishara and Trayburn was taken first. Detective Walsh said the charges numbered 15 altogether, and in the majority of cases double financing was committed by defendants. 'Accused, who pleaded not guilty, were committed to the next Supreme Court at Hamilton for trial. Other charges are now being heard.
