TWO WOMEN WARNED.

IED DISREPUTABLE LIVES. ADMITTED TO PROBATION. Two women, who had been living disreputable lives lately, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., for sentence this morning at the Police Court. They were Myra Heatley (20), charged with permitting premises in Baker Street to be used as a brothel, and Dorothy Maud* Hawkins, aged 21, charged with assisting in the management of such a place. "You have both been leading disreputable lives," Mr. Hunt told them. "I won't send you to gaol, but I will hold this matter over your heads for a while. Each will be placed on probation for two years on strict terms, one of them being that you do not associate with each other. You can thank Major Gordon that you are not going to gaol. _ If you do not obey the terms of probation, you, Hawkins, will be sent to the Borstal and the older one to gaol."
