INSPECTORS OF DOMAINS.

At a. meeting of the Auckland District Council of the New Zealand Horticultural Institute held yesterday afternoon a letter was received from the Devonport Borough Council conveying a resolution agreeing to the appointment by the Government of honorary inspectors being ipso facto appointments over all domains under the council's control. It will be remembered that some time ago the council urged more supervision over parks, etc., containing native bush, and the appointment of honorary inspectors was suggested as the least expensive wav to achieve that end. In the case of a domain like Rangitoto vigilant honorary inspectors seized with the importance of keeping that unique island in its natural state could do a lot ox good.
