RETIRING FROM POLITICS.
MR. W. S. GLENN, OF RANGITIKEI. (By Telegraph.—Owe Correspondent.) MARTON, Friday. Mr. W. S. Glenn, formerly M.P. for Rangitikei, informed a meeting of Reform party supporters last evening that he did not intend to contest the seat at the next general election. Mr. Glenn said he regretted the necessity for the step, but pressure of private business made it imperative that he should retire from politics. A motion expressing regret at his decision and recording appreciation of Mr, Glenn's services during the nine years he represented Rangitikei was carried.
