FIFTY DELEGATES. FBOM ALL PARTS OP N.Z. ARRANGEMENTS FOR WEEK-END. Fifty delegates drawn from all parts of the Dominion have assembled in Auckland for the annual conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, which will be opened by the. Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. J. G. Cobbe) on Monday. Many of the visitors, who conie from as far away as Invercargill, are accompanied by their wives and families. The conference will be the second to be held in Auckland, the last occasion the gathering was held in the city being m>1923. An attractive programme for the entertainment of the visitors has been arranged. To-day an excursion was made by ferry steamer to Motuihi and Rangitoto, and though the weather was

not propitious it did not appear to dampen the spirits of any of the party which left the city at eleven o'clock this morning. The- visitors will round off the day by attending a movie entertainment as the guests "of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. To-morrow afternoon they will .be motored to points of interest in the city and suburbs. Alternative tours have been mapped out. One will, take the visitors to the eastern bays of Kohimarama and St. Helier's via the new waterfront road, and tlie other to the Ellerslie racecourse gardens, Pukekohe, Bombay and heights that unfold pleasant views of rural contentment. Both parties will converge on Drury and after afternoon tea the return journey will be made to the city via Mangere, Onehunga, One Tree Hill and the Domain Drive. The delegates will get down to serious business on Monday, when a welcome will be extended to them at the Town Hall by the Mayor (Mr. George Baildon). In the evening there will be a dinner at Hotel C'argen. The concluding sessions of the conference will be held on Tuesday, when the visitors will attend tlie monthly luncheon of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. The speeches at the latter function will be put on the air by IYA.
