The failure of Marshal Chiang Kaishek, President of China, to attend a reception on Monday to a Chinese squadron of aviators is taken as confirmation of the reports that another attempt was made to assassinate him on September 8. The reports stated that he was actually wounded in the hand.. Details are not available, however, but it was further stated that members of his bodyguard were executed.
