FRANKTON STOCK SALE.
GOOD PRICES FOR BEEF. SHEEP ALSO SELL WELL. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton saleyards on Tuesday, September 10, as under:— There was an average yarding of beef. i Choice ox and prime young cows and heifers sold at prices on a par with last ' week. We sold choice quality heifers at ; up to £13 12/6; ordinary quality cows, . £8 10/; runners to £6 15/; lightweight ' Jersey heifers, £6 7/6; store cows, good, ' £6 1/ to £7 10/; inferior store cows, 11 £3 to £4; empty Jersey heifers, £5 12/6, £5 12/, £5 9/; small, 38/ to £3. There was a very small yarding of ; fat sheep, which sold at full late rates. Prime fat ewes, 33/6; light wethers, 35/6. We sold prime baconers at from £4 1/ to £4 5/; medium baconers, £3 6/ to £3 19/; prime porkers, £2 6/ to £2 11/; light porkers, £2 2/; large stores, 34/ to £2 1/; snjall stores, 25/ to 30/; slips, 16/6 to 22/6; weaners, 12/ to 16/.
