Information received in Christchurch j, regarding the activities of the Onakaka : Iron; and' Steel Co. is to the effect that the'plant is running smoothly, making pig , iron and that the output is being fully absorbed. : ' ; The'plant for the manufacture of pipes is well advanced, but must await the inspallation qf a new generator at the hydroelectric " power house. The additional power ,will Bo roquired to run the pipe plant. (.■ \) : , ... •;
