DEVONPORT YACHT CLUB. ANNUAL PRESENTATION OF PRIZES The annual presentation of prizes won during the season by the boats of the Devonport Yacht Club was held last evening in the Masonic Hall, Victoria Road. Mr. G. Trevethick, president of the club, presided, and was supported by the Mayor of Devonport, Mr. E. Aldridge, Commodore Geo. McKenzie and Mr. W. Swinnerton, vice-president. Mr. Trevithick welcomed the visitors who included representatives from all the Auckland and Manukau clubs. The Devonport Club had made good progress during the past year, he said, the clubhouse was finished, an additional slipway added and the waterfront levelled off, making a natural grandstand to view the racing. This work had all been done by a few energetic members with little expenditure of money. He thoxight their clubhouse could be regarded as a credit to Devonport and would help, to create a good spirit between members. Commodore Geo. McKenzie proposed the toast of kindred clubs, coupled with the names of ofiicers present. He referred to the good feeling prevailing between all branches of the sport and trusted it would long continue. Mr. J. C. Hewson, R.N.Z. Yacht Squadron, acknowledged the toa6t on behalf of the visitors. Mr. W. Swinnerton proposed the toast of the Auckland Harbour Board and the Devonport Borough Council. Mr. Swinnerton said that both bodies had done a lot for the sport at Devonport, especially the Borough Council. Mr. Aldridge, who responded for both bodies, 6aid Devonport yachtsmen had a particularly good record and he was proud of the work they had done on their clubhouse. The prizes made an imposing display and included the Duder, Jellicoe, Edwin and "Herald" Cups and the Maud Shield. The Mayor congratulated each winner and thanked the donors for supporting the club so well. The following were the principal winners:— Opening Day.—A and B class. Club Regatta.—A and B class, Delville; !H, L and X class, Rakoa; V and S class, Secret; T and X class, Shalimar ; M class, Maratea; Stars, Ola IV.; X class, Fay; seven-footers, Jonquil. April 13. —A and B class, Windward: 11, L and X class, Rakoa; M class, Maroro; Stars, June; V and S class, Desdemona; T and X class, Kismet; seven-footers, Jonquil. Final Day.—A and B class, Victory ; H class, Starloch ; M class, Maratea ; V class, Drone; S class, Rangatira; Stars. Ola IV.; T and 1" class, Sea Dawn ; L and X class, Rakoa. Mr. W. Coldicutt's special prize for the youngest winning skipper was won by Muster George Carter.

An excellent musical programme was rendered during the evening.
