TRAMWAYS DISPUTE.

EXPUNGING OF A MINUTE. Mr. E. Phclan asked at this morning's meeting of the Auckland Transport Board what was likely to be the result of the decision to submit to arbitration the dispute between the board and the Tramways Union over the request by the board that the union expunge a minute from its books censuring, certain members for supporting the management in an appeal case. The chairman (Mr. J. A. C. Allum) intimated that so soon as a report was received from the management assessors would be appointed to represent the board, with a view to having the matter taken to the Arbitration Court.
