SCOUTS FOB ENGLAND.

THE INTERNATIONAL JAMBOREE,

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

WELLINGTON, tins day.

A cheery farewell was given to the New Zealand scouts who left by the Taraaroa this morning for, the International Jamboree. This was an official farewell last night at the Y.M.C.A. rooms, Sir Alfred Robin, District Commissioner, Wellington, presiding. Commissioner Cooksey, who is in charge of the party, assured the boys parents that he would do everything in his power for the safety of the boys in his charge. . Mr. L. S. Abbott, social officer ot Auckland district, conveyed Auckland's congratulations and fraternal greetings. He expressed a hope that when the boys reached England and the grand old chief, the spirit of scouting would so enter into them that they would ever remain linked with the movement. The boys boarded the liner last night, and were astir early this morning to meet parents and friends who came down to the ship's side to see them off.
