POISONED MAN.
; Conflicting Evidence Given At Inquest. FAMILY SQUABBLE. SYDNEY, May 2. Ac the resumed inquest to-day concerning the death of William Masterton. who died on. March 10 at Ashfield, and whose body was later exhumed and death found to be due to poison, a number of neighbours and relatives of the deceased man gave evidence that Masterton was ou good terms with his wife before his death. Others declared that they had heard Masterton complain of the conduct or his cousin, James Williamson, in the house. Williamson lived with the Mastertons. Detective James read a statement made by Mrs. Tunstall, who stated that she heard Masterton say just before his death: "I hate Williamson. I have just thrown him out of the house, and I do not wish to see him again."' The coroner announced that the evidence was so conflicting that he would defer his final finding until next week.
