New Zealanders Secure Awards

(Australian and N.Z. l'rcss: Association.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON*, April S. The Royal Drawing Society's fortieth exhibition is being held at the Guildhall. New Zealand artists who secured awards include Miss Xancy Hobson, Miss Phyllis Oxford, Miss Beatrice Morling, and Miss Kate Sax by. The subjects are mostly plants. Miss Greta McGuire, Remuera, specialised in oils. The judges regard Australian and New Zealand participation as evidences of the increased interest in the purpose of the society, which is to encourage the development of youthful artistry in the Empire.
