Olatrice (Ballin —Lady Derby), Alexis (Brent Locauda —Nancy Maxwell), in addition to Maxegin and Acre, arc the latest to join J. Bryee's stable. Gang Awa, who is down for two engagements at Wellington to-morrow, has only started once. This was at C'lareville on Boxing Day, and on a heavy track ?he won in 3.4 G. She is by Peterwah, and is a pacer. El Direct, who is engaged in two slow class pacers' races at Wellington tomorrow, won two races at Carterton in December. In one race he went 3.39 2-5 on a heavy track, and in being handicapped on 3.39 to-morrow has nothing to complain of. Rafa has been ticked off to win a race several times lately, but so far he has failed to produce the goods. On the i Hntt Park course in November he ran third in the Trial Handicap, hi? time lioing 3.36 1-5. Off the limit of a 3.40 class to-morrow he reads well in. A mile and a-half should suit the Auckland trotter Tiger Salve down to the ground. Not only does he trot solid, but he can go very fast out of the tapes, and lie is one of the very few who can be driven hard immediately a start is made. He should get expenses on the trip to Wellington. Reports from Christchurch state that Bell Bingen, the only daughter of the American stallion Bingen in New Zealand, has not proved an outstanding I succe?s so far as a matron, but her two products, one a yearling filly and the j other a filly foal by Guy Parrish, may turn the tide in her favour. The 1930 Great Northern Derby candidate by Native King out of Visible, owned by Mr. J. Duncan. Kketahuna. was recently found in the paddock with a broken leg, and had to be destroyed. Mr. Duncan feels the loss, as he considers that Native King is one of the coming sires of New Zealand. Royal Serene has proved a regular surprise packet in her last two winning efforts, for previous to her good dividend at Addington, her last success was attained in the Farewell Handicap at I the Ashburton meeting, when she returned a huge price to her few fiipporters. Royal Serene has been racing consistently (says '"Argus"), without much luck in saddle races, but her form on Saturday shows her to be a good stayer. Her sire, Realm, was a very brilliant racehorse, and served only a few mare? in the Methven district before being returned to Australia.
