UNITED POLITICAL PARTY.

At a meeting over which Mr. F. G. Farrell presided, the decision was made to form a Hamilton branch of the United Political Party. The meeting was addressed by Mr. F. Lye, M.P. for Waikato. Officers were elected ae follows:— President, Mr. S. C. G. Lye; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. F. Lye, J. Bhickhall and W. Griffen; secretary, Mr. H. C. Cable; treasurer, Mr. D. V. Drummond; executive, Messrs. F. J. Farrell (chairman), J. G. Harp, T. Collins, C. V. Carryer, Hughes, Carmichael, Warne, Goodall, Tuck, Lister, Loughman and Cate.
