On leaving the church the wedding party were plentifully bestrewn with confetti while passing through the guard of honour formed by lady tennis players. The wedding breakfast, at

the residence of the bride's mother. Somerstown. was attended principally by relatives of the bride and bridegroom. The presents were on view, and formed one of the most valuable collections yet seen in the district, and testified to the great popularity of both bride and bridegroom. After the wedding breakfast, the happy pair left by motor on the honeymoon tour, with the best wishes of all assembled.

CLARK—PRENTICE. The wedding of Margaret. only daughter of Mr. and Mr.-. T. S. Prentice, of Kensington Avenue. Mt, Eden, and William, second son of Mrs. F. Clark, of Matai Street. Avondale South, took place last evening at the Dominion Road Methodist Church. The Rev. W. Rowe performed the ceremony. The bride's father gave her away, the gown being of ivory georgette over taffeta, made in early period style, with diamante trimniingis and an uneven hem. The. tulle embroidered veil which formed the train, was held in place by a coronet of lace and orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of lilies and ro*os, The two attending were Mioses Alma and -Toy Eddy. Their dresses were of chiffon taffeta and georgette, made alike. The former was of shrimp pink t-hade, the latter being beige over pastel blue, trimmed witn silver. Halos of tulle matched their gowns, and they carried shower bouquets. The dainty little 'flower-girl, Shirley Duncan, was in mauve georgette, ami carried a silver basket. Mr. Thomas Eddy, was the bent man. Mr. S. Bond, the groomsman. After the ceremony a large number of guests attended the wedding supper, which was served at the Domain Kiosk. Mauve clusters of hydrangea, with pink and mauve alters, were placed in crystal bowls on the tables, a white and silver wedding bell hanging over the happy couple. The bride's mother wore a beige crepe de c-oie frock, with fiat to tone. The bridegroom's mother was in navy figured crepe de chine, hat to match.

BENNETT—MILSON. St. Aidan's C'hurcli was cnosen far the wedding of Miss Catherine Margaret Milson. only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Mil.-on, of Papakura. and Mr. Thomas Alan Bennett, only son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Bennett, of Te Akati. The Rev. C. B. Seaton. of Otahuhu. officiated. The bride entered the church with her brother. Mr. L. \V. Milson. and wore a charming gown of ivory panne velvet. The bodice and skirt were lightly draped, the crossover bodice having a buckle of brilliant*. A long f.velvet train, lined with pink tulle, was worn from the shoulders. The circular net veil, which was swathed over the head, had clusters of flowers worked in silks, ear drops and strand* of orange blossom buds placed each side. She carried a sheaf of white and ]>ink lilies. Two bridesmaids attended. Misses Myra Solomon and Xetta Robertson. Both frocks were fashioned alike in orchid mauve crepe de chine, the skirts having handkerchief draperies. Tulle bandeaux matched the gowns, an<j

A very pretty wedding of much interest to Papakura and district was solemnised at Christ Church, Papakura. la-t Wednesday afternoon, when Alma Olive, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Alma .lames Dryland, of View Road. Papakura. was married to Mr. O. S. W. Power, youngest sou of Mrs. Caton. of Mount Albert. The bride was given away by Dr. J. Basil Page, of Papakura. and wore a charming frock of ivory embossed georgette over satin charmeuse with silver lace panel's. She wore a veil of Brussels net panelled with Brussels lace, and held with a wreath of orange blossoms, and carried an exquisite bouquet of while roses, sweet sultans, jesaniine. white asters, with asparagus and maidenhair fern. Miss Rose Dryland, youngest sister of the bride, was the chief bridesmaid, and was in a daintygown of turquoise blue georgette with silver lace insets. She carried a lovely bouquet of pink asters and maidenhair fern. The second bridesmaid (Miss Esme WiklundT, cousin of the bride, wore a pretty frock of coral pink georgette trimmed with silver lace, and carried a bouquet of mauve asters and maidenhair fern. Both bridesmaids wore coronets of tulle and rosebuds. Heather Dennis made a charming little train-hearer, and was prettily dressed in a frock of pale mauve georgette with tiny frills and silver lace, and wore a coronet of rosebuds. The Rev. W. C. Wood. vicar of Papakura. was the officiating clergyman, while Mr. P. Hardman (iresided at the organ. Mr. Theodore Power, brother of the bridegroom, carried out flic duties of best man, and the groomsman was Mr. Allen Evans. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's mother. Mrs. Dryland received her guests in a frock of black georgette trimmed with pompadour lace. Mrs. Caton (mother of the bridegroom) wore a lavender crepe de chine frock with a drape of silk lace. Amongst those present were Dr. and Mrs. J. Basil Page, the Rev. W. C. Wood, Mrs. Seccombe, sen.. Mrs. Seccombe, jun., Mrs. C. V. Hill, Mrs. C. Wiklund. Mrs. J. Howard. Mrs. f. Bell. Mrs. Buckstep. and Miss Lucy Walker. The bride's going away dress was a navy blue ensemble suit with hat to match.
