SOCIAL GATHERINGS.
The Ladies' Progressive Motor Cycle Club held a picnic" at Manukau Beach Efrtale on Sunday last. The run out was most enjoyable, there being quite a few solo and sidecar outfits. This club fc«s been in existence for nearly twelve months now and has a fair membership roll, it is the club's intention to put «n social and novelty rune during the eummer months. During the winter they will continue to hold their monthly dances. • • * • Te Awaimitu Women's Institute held its first meeting for the year this week. A most enjoyable evening was given in the Waikowl , 'i Hall on Monday evening by Mrs. A. Prinnin. of Mount Koskill, for her daughter Edna, to celebrate her IBth birthday.
