HEAD-ON COLLISION.
MOTOR SMASH AT NEW LYNN. T T'fThe car most seriously damaged was * Ijght five-weater that was being driven hy Miss A. Billing, a nurse at Rawhiti, private hospital. In the front seat with her was her cousin, Mr. Wm. Archibald Billing, who owned the car, and in the bark seat, was Mrs. Billing. A collision occurred with a heavy car, driven by Mr. L. J. Rowe, of the firm of fi. W. Spragg, motor importers, Lome Street. Miss Billing received an injury to , the breast and a cut on one leg, and was suffering somewhat from shock. Her coiihin received a broken jaw. Mr. Rowe was accompanied by his wffe and little child, and his mother was also a passenger. Fortunately they all escaped injury, although Mrs. Rowe, ecn., suffered flight shork, and was also attended bv Dr. Pettit.
Both cars Were badly damaged. The radiator of Mr. Billing's car was damaged, the near side front wheel was Smashed off close to the hub, and the off side wheel thrown out of alignment. Mr.• Howe's car had a lamp broken off, the radiator damaged and the under carriage buckled.
