PRINCESS MART'S XMAS TREE.
The sick children of Princess Marys Hospital were treated to a Christmas tree celebration on Saturday, Father Christmas being Mr. S. Donaldson, Mayor of Newmarket. The children all received gifts, as well as Mr. Donaldson, Mr. W. Wallace (chairman of the Hospital Board), Mr. Howitt, and Dr. Gould. A very pleasant entertainment was carried out, and the children were particularly happy in giving their entertainers gifts from the magic Christmas tree. Such gatherings are always happy occaeions, and the patients derived much pleasure from the festive celebration.
