MORE HELP FOR NEEDY.
GIELS' THOUGHTFUL ACTION.
Owing to the thoughtfulness of the factory employees of Messrs. R. Greer and Son, the commercial travellers were able to augment their last-minute distribution of Christmas cheer to the poor and needy. During the lunch hour Messrs. W. H. Prentis (president) and K Glover Clark (vice-president), of the Auckland Travellers' Association, made a hurried trip to families in straitened circumstances to take a measure of happiness to them on Christmas Eye. Many little children and some adults will have cause to remember this pleasant visit and the gracious act of the girls in the factory whose savings made it possible.
