Lyford. of Claudelands, is on a visit to Marlborough. Mrs. E. 11. Lee and Miss Betty Lee, of Cambridge, are on a visit to Australia. Miss A. Chainey. of Hamilton, is spending a holiday in Suva. Mrs. J. F. Strang is spending a holiday touring Rotorua, Taupo. and Wairakei. Mrs. Frank Luxford, of Hamilton, is visiting relatives in Feilding. Mrs. Pringle Nelson, of Hamilton, is staying in Dunedin. Mrs. K. F. Bollard has returned to Wellington from a visit to the Waikato. Mrs. A. Murray, of Hamilton, is spending a holiday in Tauranga. Miss E. Turner, of Hamilton, is on a visit to Dunedin. Miss E. Norrish has returned to Hamilton from a tour in the Bay of Plenty district. Mrs. J. A. Miss Caro, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Caro, River Road, Claudelands. Miss M. Hodgson, of Hamilton, is spending a holiday in the South Island. Mrs. J. H. Goyder, of Wellington, has been staying in Hamilton. Mrs. Vevin, of Whitiora, is on a holiday visit to Tauranga. Mrs. R. B. Cranwell, of Hamilton, is on a visit to New Plymouth. Miss A- Drake, of Hamilton, is on a visit to the South Island. Mrs. R. W- Dyer, of Napier, has been staying in Hamilton. Miss E. Guy has returned to Hamilton from a visit to Palmerston North.

A garden party was thoroughly enjoyed at Mrs. S. Cowling's, Cambridge. The function was organised to assist with the funds of Peter's Church. The clock golf was won by Mrs. Andrews, crazy croquet by Mis? C. Couper. and the words competition by Miss D. Lang. Those present were: Mesdames B. Couper. Hart. Bellamy. Palmer, Pleseher, Wilkinson. Turney, Kelly. Bell, Plowden, Aspen. McYeagh, Davis. Rowland, Neeley. Misses McCarthy. Lang, McDonnell, Couper. Black, McDevitt. McGuire, R. McCarthy, Pleseher, S. Turner, Cossieboom, Jones. Swayne.

A very pretty wedding was solemnised in Bishopscourt Chapel by Bishop A. C. Cherrington. The bride was Ila Mav, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. .T. Troutbeck. of Claudelands, and the bridegroom was Dr. Arthur Lionel Lewis, of Rotorna. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an ivory georgette frock and long embroidered tulle veil. The bridesmaids were Mioses Vera Troutbeck, Lily Storey, and Madge and Eleanor Troutbeck. They wore frocks of blue and apricot organdie, and headdresses of briar pink tulle. The best man was Mr. E. S- Troutbeck. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Centreway Tearooms, where Mrs. Troutbeck (mother of the bride) received the guests.
