BAY OF ISLANDS.
KOADHSFG A BIG QUESTION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) RUSSELL, Thursday. An attentive hearing was accorded the Reform candidate for Bay of Islands, Colonel Allen Bell, when lie addressed a meeting in the public hall, Russell.
The candidate made reference to the Kellogg Peace , Pact, the Samoan question, land settlement, native lands consolidation, the Mental Defectives Amendment Act, and advances to workers. Special reference was made to roading, which Colonel Bell regarded as a question of first-class importance throughout the whole of the Northland. He said he had repeatedly urged the claims of North Auckland in the House of Representatives.
A vote of thanks was accorded Colonel Bell.
