OLD OFFENDER SENT TO GAOL.
William Kirk (54), charged with! stealing a rug and pair of glasses valued at £1 10/ from a motor car yes-' terday, had little to say when he came before the Police Court this morning. The " only word thathe spoke was •'guilty." Sub-Inspector McCarthy did the talking. "This man has a long list of previous convictions, and other charges are pending against him.
