The constable stated that when he was arresting Robinson yesterday afternoon, Alphonso obstructed him. He advised Robinson to "give it a go." Then trouble started and a big crowd collected. Three or four men held Alphonso while witness clasped the handcuffs on him. Another constable came on the scene and ; both men were taken to the lock-up.

"Robinson gave no trouble whatever, until he was incited to resist arrest by Alphonso," said Sub-Infpector McCarthy. Robinson was fined £1, or three days' imprisonment/ while Alphonso was : fined £2, or seven, days in gaoL
