YOUNG WOMAN INJURED.
MANUREWA MOTOR CRASH. ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL. A dislocated hip and injuries to the face were received by Miss Claire Simeon, a visitor from Hastings, who was concerned in a motor accident near Manurewa last evening. Mies Simson, a young woman, was admitted to a private hospital.
The motor car in which Miss Simson was travelling was driven by Mr. D. O'Hara, of Auckland, and about 8 p.m. crashed into a telegraph pole near the Papakura Stream Bridge, on the Great South Road. Two other occupants of the car received abrasions.
First aid was given by Dr. Campbell Jenkins, of Manurewa. Miss Simson was brought on to Auckland by motor car and. an operation was performed.
