WATERSIDER INJURED.

When fitting: the Inst hatch beam into position on the Port Darwin this morning, a few minutes before the vessel sailed at 10 o'clock. W. Charlton, married, aged 51, had the first, finger of his right hand almost cut. oil'. The finger was crushed bv the beam as Charlton was guiding it into the socket.

First aid was rendered at the St. John Ambulance station, Queen's wharf, and Charlton was taken to his home at 15, Harding Street.
